I have several from when I was 2-3, and I’m not sure which one is the earliest. They are:
1. Playing on the stairs in the valley house with fake money. In fact, they were actually old air freshners shaped like money.
2. Sitting in the hall chair eating Cookie Crisps.
3. Being held by my grandfather in the yard looking at the smoke trails that planes left behind. He told me that whenever I see them cross each other, that it was lucky.
4. In the park with my grandfather feeding the ducks. They kept nipping at me for more and it freaked me out, so I pretty much climbed up my grandfather to his shoulders to get away from them.
5. The earliest scent-memories I have are of wood smoke and clean laundry.
There’s a couple others, but they’re just fragments and are hard to describe.
